Primary

The Primary Programme equips the students with International Mindedness through Learner Profiles and Entrepreneur Characters while also has multicultural recognition through multi-cultural celebrations.

The implementation of English and Mandarin Language are used in daily conversation and sharpened in Language Week.

Parents also take important parts in children’s development. The harmonious and balanced relationship between parents and school are built through Parents Bonding activities through Parents as Learners Session, Parent Teacher Association, Parents Involvement in Primary Insight, etc.

Curriculum

We are using The Cambridge International Primary Programme from the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) that gives young children excellent preparation for secondary education.

We prepare the children to take the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint, which show the progression of each child’s ability through primary education from CIPP, which focuses on English, Mathematics and Science. All students whom pass the tests will be issued with a Primary Certificate of Achievement by the University of Cambridge International Examinations.

Aside from its flexibility, we choose the CIPP because:

  1. It can be taken alongside the national curriculum or on its own,

  2. It is an excellent framework for learning in the primary years and provides a solid foundation for each child’s future,

  3. It is an international assessment and measurement that offers accurate and quality benchmark to assist our school and students compete in international academic standard.

We are also using the theme-based approach for grade 1 to 3 in five subjects; English, Social Studies, Mathematics, Creative Arts and Science. Teachers set up the classroom with theme-related materials and plan the activities ahead based on the theme and what they want the children to study and learn. Using themes, teachers create a positive learning environment and motivate students with enthusiastic and imaginative presentation.

Co-Curricular Activity (CCA)

Each level will be offered a variety of CCA. The activities will vary depending on the availability of instructors and student’s interest. Each student is required to choose 1 (one) CCA to follow.

  • Ballet

  • Basketball Club

  • Color Guard

  • Wushu
