Overview International Program

Our Creative Curriculum is focused on 4 areas of basic children development, such as socio-emotional, physical, coginitive, and linguistic development. What is more, they are related and can be formed through some activities which are based on a theme. As an example, the theme is about the nature of the animals; that is, firstly, it is aimed to develop Socio-emotional skills in a child through responsibility. In this way, the students practice the responsibility in taking care of animals; that is in feeding and loving them. Meanwhile Physical skills development of the children can be formed by copying the animals’ gestures. While Cognitive skills development is built by making the animals classification (e.g. number of legs, place of living, etc.), and last, linguistic skills development can be formed by reading & writing activities. Hence, Creative curriculum in education helps children developing their skills.

Stella Maris also combines Cambridge Curriculum and IB Diploma Program Curriculum in its education system. Cambridge curriculum focuses on academic capability as a strong basic foundation, then  it is enhanced by the IB Diploma Program which focuses on critical thinking and problem solving through project based learning.
